Description
GeoPDF Viewer is a high-performance web-based mobile application wrapped in Capacitor. It allows users to import Geospatial PDF (GeoPDF) maps, view coordinate grids, plot their physical location using native GPS, and rotate the map view dynamically according to the device orientation sensors. It supports storing multiple maps in a local collection, making it perfect for remote forestry, hiking, surveying, or off-grid excursions.
Permissions
GeoPDF Viewer requires the following device permissions to provide its core functionality:
- Location Services (GPS): Required to plot and display your location indicator on the imported map.
- File/Storage Access: Required to select, import, and save PDF map documents from your device's storage into the app's local sandbox.
- Device Orientation/Sensors: Required to rotate the map dynamically in Compass Mode to align with your heading.
Privacy Policy
Gnarly Crux is committed to your privacy. GeoPDF Viewer stores all map files locally in the application's secure sandbox. We do not transmit your map documents or location data to our servers, nor do we track, log, or share your movement history. Third-party advertisements may gather anonymized identifiers for ad serving if on the free tier, which can be fully removed via a premium one-time license purchase.
